One Dr. James H McCorkle practiced medicine during the 1840-1850's in the Marshall Co area. McCorkle Mountain was named after him. James H McCorkle Jr. was born ca 1817..I believe the H stands for Hezekiah...Both father and son are buried in the Henryville Cemetery at Claysville...beautiful old monuments...need parents of JH McCorkle Sr..My Kirklands are related to these McCorkles.
