Samuel McCorkle, Sr (subdivided Bluff City from his land grant d. bef 1809) and Wife Mary Alison had a son Rev Francis Alison McCorkle m.1824 in Greenville, Tn to Isabelle Sevier.

My Samuel McCorkle b 1819 in Sullivan Co m. Lucinda Colbaugh. Their first dau was Eliza and 2nd dau was Mary C (named after her maternal gm Mary Mottern).
Their son William M McCorkle m Catherine Webb. They were in Greene Co 1900 census. Their son my gf George Franklin McCorkle m Isabelle Felty. My father Henry Hal McCorkle m my mother Katherine Smith.

I don't see any connection to the Greene Co McCorkles.
The possibility of Samuel 1819 and Mary Ann 1822 being siblings is very good.
