I am the great,great-granddaughter of John McElwaney, brother to Owen Leory McElwaney, and I have information on the McElwaney family. I would be happy to share what I have.

The information does not show John and Owen's father name, but list their mother as Fereby Drew. It shows she was born around 1790 in North Carolina, and died between 1860-1870 in Fayette Country, Georgia.

If anyone has found anything on Fereby Drew or who John and Owen's father was, I would love to know more.
