I don't know if it's any help to you but I do know of two. My great great g-father was named Aaron McEndree and he served with the 111th Illinois Volunteer Inf. There is another McEndree who enlisted with him at the same time who I would assume is a brother. He was from Marion, IL and was wounded in action at an assault on a fort called McAlister outside Savannah GA. His brother died of disease shortly after discharge.
Illinois does a good job of listing the rolls of all its units in the war. Just type in 111th illinois in a search engine and you should find it.
