Looking for information on a James and Thomas McGahey that traveled on "The City of New York" and arrived in New York City from Liverpool June 26, 1854 (master of the ship was C. Hutchinson). James was 12 and Thomas was 14.
Family search has a James McGaehy born May 7, 1843 in Tyron, Ireland and died June 4, 1920.
James shows up in Ripley, IN were he married Permelia Smith on Agust 9, 1864 in Versailles, Ripley, IN.
There is a Samuel McGahey in Ripley that married Johanna Moreland (nee Robertson)in 1866 in Ripley, IN. My great great grandfather.
I am trying to find out if Samuel is a Samuel Thomas McGahey born July 21, 1841 in Ireland and the brother of James.
I would love to find out who their parents and other siblings if any were.
