I have found records here is Australia which spell McGANN as Magan, and on one occasion, Mcmahon. I think it depended on which way the Registrar wrote the word.
Edward Sloss married in 1860 Catherine McGann, an Irish girl who arrived in Port Phillip (now Victoria) in 1853. She and her brother, and his wife, sailed on the "Australia". I am interested in finding any details of their parentage (County Clare). I know most of descendant details of Catherine & Edward SLOSS, and would like to know if her brother & wife had any family in Melbourne, Victoria.
