Andrew McGough I believe was born around 1800-1810. As one of his sons(Thomas's) death certificate from New York Cityrevealed that Thomas was born around 1845 and that his mothers name was Bridget McGough. An Andrew McGough can be found in the 1838 Tithe and 1854 evaluation of tenants in townland of Drumgristin in the parish of Clontibert, in county Monaghan.athis information can be verified in Hugh McGough "McGOughs in Monaghan" Magoo.com.

I have recently found out that Andrew had a brother named Patrick. Patrick's widow Ann is buried in Thomas McGough (Andrews son) family plot in Calvary Cemetary, Queens, N.Y.

A search of "Myancestry.com/search griffiths" showed three Andrew McGoughs in county Monaghan, Dromgristin,Mullaghanee. parish of Clontibert and Town of Monaghan, parish of Monaghan.

To tell the truth I have no idea where Andrew McGough lived in Ireland. If any one has any information on any Andrew McGough who fits any or all the information above I would appreciate hearing hearing from you.

A healthy and prosperous New Year to all.
