Alan: My grandfather William McGuffin was born in 1856 and died in 1916, and was married to Letitia Graham, from Bailieboro, Co. Cavan. One of his seven sons also was named William, as were three of his grandsons, me included. Confusing? I'd always understood my great grandfather was Thomas but have nothing in writing, so your father could be right. We'll eagerly await the results of your deciphering. Bill McGuffin
