Genealogy does make you dizzy, Yvonne! You're not being dumb, as it is hard for anyone to follow all these Irish families who keep using the same first names over and over, isn't it?
I have a few Michael McGushins, for example, but of the ones born around 1860 neither one married a Sarah Pickup, sorry to say! I have a Michael born circa 1845 who married a Bridget McGarry, and a Michael born circa 1864 who married a Bridget McGushin (don't know if that last name is a mistake or not!).
I have a few Michaels born in the 1960s through the 1990s (I told you they repeat first names) but no Pickups anywhere!
Good luck, whith a name like Pickup the info has to be out there somewhere! Tom Anderson
