My grandmother, Laura Ellen McKay, had a brother Dolphus S. McKay, born in Tn. about 1862. In 1880 he was living in Alvarado,
Johnson Co., Tx. Dolphus is such an unusual name I wondered if your Dolphus could be a son of my grandmother's brother. She had several brothers living in Alvarado at that time with her and her husband Wm. T. Porter.
They eventually moved north, into Wise, and Parker counties, Texas.
