McKay's Glasgow to Australia 1852

We would love to hear from anyone who has links to our family. The details we have found on our family in Scotland are:
William McKay (my great great grandfather) was a flesher prior to coming to Australia
Born: 1828 in Glasgow we think on 26 January (1828)

Married: William McKay flesher Anderston and Agnes Atkinson residing there married at Glasgow on the 22nd day of December 1846 by the Rev William Scott late minister of St Marks Chapel Anderston one of the free protesting congregations in the Barony Parish (details from Marriage Certificate) - unfortunately the certificate does not say where the marriage took place

Wife’s Family: William McKay's wife, Agnes Atkinson (Fathers name was Robert Atkinson and mother's name was Margaret Atkinson (nee Baxter) born 1805 of Annen, Dumfries and her parents names were William Baxter (Iron worker) and Henrietta Kerr) was born in Dumfrieshire in 1825.

Children in Scotland: Agnes McKay (nee Atkinson - William McKay's wife) had two daughters born in Scotland before she came to Australia in 1854/5. Margaret the first born must have died as an infant and Jane McKay was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1851, I assume after William had left to come to Australia.

Parents: George McKay and Jane (maiden name may also be McKay (they owned a Butchers shop in Glasgow or near environs, it was still standing although derelict in 1950-55).

Other information:

On 26 January 1850 William McKay lived at 81 Carrick Street Glasgow (address in family bible that may have been given to him on his 20th/21st birthday?). 81 Carrick Street Glasgow appears to be a tenement building of some sort - it would be interesting to find out why he moved there from Dunbarton Road Partick?

McKAY James McKAY blacksmith, Cowcaddens, and Magdalene WATT, had a lawful daughter their 3rd child, born 31st March 1839, named Jane. George and William McKAY witnesses
