Lyman, McKay, & Dunn Families of Waterford Twp, Erie County, PA

I have tried unsuccessfully to find the father of Benjamin Lyman Born 1834 in Waterford Twp, Erie Co., PA. All the genealogists have attached him to a Prussian Lyman family in Waterford Twp full of Benjamin's and William's. This is not a match for this William (?), Father of Benjamin Lyman.

Mary Jane McKay b-1813, Daughter of James Montgomery McKay and Jane Underwood. Born in Waterford TWP. We are confident she married a William (?) Lyman about 1830 in Erie County. William(?) was born about 1800 and died between 1833 and 1838 in Erie Co.

William (?) and Mary Jane McKay Lyman had two sons, William G.(B-abt1831) and Benjamin (B-1834).
Both sons were born Waterford Twp, Erie Co, PA.

William(?)Lyman died between 1833 and 1838. Mary Jane McKay Lyman then married Thomas Dunn (first wife Nancy) born 1808, son of Oliver Dunn and Rachel Taylor. They had 5 children after 1840 in Erie and Monmouth, IL.

I have tintypes of many of the McKay and Dunn relatives and the two Lyman's. Because of the many notations in Erie County genealogy and history of the Prussian Lyman's I am unable to track William (?) to his lineage. I have tried to connect him to the Lymanville, PA group and the Lyman's of New England with no success. Any help would be appreciated.
