Hi Anthea Have no idea where this McKay info came from. It was already put together by several people in Canada. Do know they got it from Scotland Researcher Christine Stokes (this name given me by local researcher Jayne Munro jmunro@magma.ca). Info re wife Katherine Murray (wife of Alex) was copied from microfilm Source C110472 Film No. 990561 from Library at Salt Lake City at Laudonville State Library Oct. 1982. It has always appeared strange to me that my Alex McKay (who was a shoemaker who m. Katherine Murray Jan. 14, 1806 at Parish of Creich, Sutherland, Scotland)) was the son of a shoemaker Alexander McKay who m. Katherine Murray 3 March 1782 in Dornoch. This info was supposed to have come from Christine Stokes!? I'd like to get this straightened out! If you ever find an answer to this. Please let me know. Thanks for your input!
