I have Janet McKay born May 1819, Monquhitter Parish, Aberdeenshire , Scotland. Parents Robert McKAY & Ann THOMSON. Janet shows in 1841 census, but what happened to her after that ? It is possible that she was known as Jessie, & that the McKay spelling changed to Mackay.
