I am trying to forward a message on McKee Family Genealogy from Cathy Farrell, #4160, which, in a long Annals of McKees, states that James Peebles md. Mary McKee, daughter of Thomas McKee, decd. I knew I'd read that somewhere. It should be corrected,to daughter of David, sister of Thomas, but I can't even forward that paragraph I want you to see. A mistake I noticed was a biog. of Hiram Sinclair. Don't have my notes, but think I can get it right. Samuel Sinclair had an only son, Samuel Jr. He mard. Elizabeth, dtr. of Robert McKee and I believe it told Susanna. It went on to say that Robert was son of Robert McKee, who built the first stone bldg. or bank in Pittsburg. We know that David (1710) was father of Robert, whose 2 sons are mentioned in Davids Will, and 2 dtrs. Elizabeth Sinclair, mother of Hiram, for one, and Mary Torrance. Do you know maiden name of Susanna? I am wondering if Robert was a stone mason. Maybe he built the bank not "his father". I read he had a fine stone home in Pittsburg, now dilapidated. He died in 1782, just after my Samuel, and I read he drowned?? Notify Administrator about this message?
