Another Andrew Jackson Connection.
I am not sure I am directly related to the Mckees. I do know my family is buried next to Samuel Sinclair and Elizabeth Mckee and their son Hiram B Sinclair at Versailles Cemetery in Mckeesport PA. My gggggrandmother was Caroline Grundy who was the niece of Felix Grundy. Felix Grundy was the attorney General under President Martin Van Buren. Of course Martin Van Buren was vice President to President Andrew Jackson.
Samuel Sinclair was a surveyor for George Washington. They named Clairton PA after him which is about 5 miles from Mckeesport. PA. The Myers family were also surveyors under George Washington and they boat builders. The boats were to get to the sites that needed surveyed.
If I read this correctly, Col Stonewall Jackson and Dr McGuire were also relatives through President John Tyler and his son Robert Tyler. Robert married the daughter of Thomas Abthorp Cooper the Father of American Theater. Frank Myers married the other daughter Fairley Cooper.
