Joseph McKee was the sixth generation of a Scotch-Irish family that migrated to the US soon after 1700 and established a trading post in PA on the Susquehanna River at McKees Half Falls. Joseph grew up in Hamilton County Ohio. His children were all born in Ripley County INDIANA. In 1865 they removed to Crawford County Illinois until 1873 when they homesteaded at Old Pawnee Mission on Mission Creek Nebraska. Their farm was just north of the NE-KS line. After observing their 50th wedding anniversary in 1893 they moved across the KS line to Summerfield to spend the remainder of their days. Some of their children homesteaded in Southern Nebraska and others in Northern Kansas.

The first sentence of the above seems to say that this Joseph McKee is descended from the same family as Thomas McKee, among the earliest of Indian traders in PA and reported father of Loyalist Alexander McKee or, at least, indicates ancestors of above Joseph McKee were in same vicinity.
Does anyone know about these early McKee kinfolks of Thomas McKee, Indian trader? Please post the lineage of this earliest of McKee lines in PA if known. There are many posts asking for information about Thomas and the earliest PA McKee but no info is ever forthcoming. Many speculations and claims of kinship are recorded but no one claims those claims in today's online world. Are there no living descendants?
