I am interested in knowing about McKiel Lake: when was it named? after which of our ancestors? are there photos and it is worth a trek to see? I believe it is part of the Miramachi system in central New Brunswick. I have tried an internet search and found only two really direct references, one is a photo taken many, many years ago of a moose on the lake...interesting but no info.
