Hi, I am trying to find out some information on my husband family. I have gathered a lot of information and I have started with Sir John McKim from Londerry Ireland. I am at a standing point with confusion about 2 John Jr's McKim's. One is the grandson of Sir John and the other one is the father of David Telfair McKim and the husband to Margaret Telfair from Baltimore. I am trying to find out who the father of John Jr that is the grandfather of David Telfair McKim. I hope I am not confusing anyone one as I am already confused. I have a book that was written by Marvin R McKim and it tells me a lot of information but the John Jr I am looking for was not born in Ireland he was born I believe in Baltimore so can anyone tell me who he is and supply me with any information please. I believe he was born in 1766 I have found a tree on him but it says he was born in Ireland and that is not correct. The John Jr that was born in Ireland is the grandson of Sir John McKim which had a son named John also all so very confusing. Wait to hear a response.
