Hi to all McKim researchers. My husband and I went to the Court House in Leesburg Va yesterday and also to the Thomas Balch Library in Leesburg. We have obtained some information that proves that a James McKim Married a Reuhannah Heath 25 March 1800 married in Loudoun Va, We also have proof that another James McKim married Martha Patty Wright in 1807-1808, There are some things that are not adding up here. If James McKim son of Alexander Married Martha Patty Wright in 1807-1808 then how was Burr Washington born in 1799, this cant be. I also have proof that Martha Patty Wright McKim died before 1825. I also have proof the son of James McKim, William H McKim's mother was Ruehannah Heath. I also have proof that Burr Washington was 74 yrs old when he died in 1881 that would put his birth year at 1807. So which James McKim is his father the one born to Alexander or is it another one because Martha Patty Wright was born in 1790 that is a Huge Age Difference from Alexander's Son James and Wife Martha. I have a copy of some information from Patterson Wright father of Martha that states she married a James McKim from Loudoun Va. We all are missing another James McKim. I also have a marriage record on Mary Mahala McKim that says her father James gave consent to her marriage she married Francis L Harrison 20th Sept 1853 at the age of 25 which puts her born in 1828 and James son of Alexander died in 1820 so he can not be her father. I also have a marriage record on Sarah E McKim married to Stephen H Gibbons 8 Sept 1858 Leesburg va and she was born around 1833 so she can not be the daughter of James McKim born to Alexander, her marriage states her father to be Joseph Campbell McKim who is this guy. So my question and point is there must be two James McKims from Loudoun Va. I believe that Martha Patty Wright married a James McKim not the Son of Alexander.I believe the Children we have listed for them are of the Other James McKim and Rehuanna Heath McKim. I also believe that Burr Washington is not the grandson of Alexander McKim born in Londerry Ireland and Son of James McKim died in 1820. Anybody out there that has this other James McKim that married Ruehanna Heath I would appreciate any information that you can provide to me. In the Mean time I would like for everyone not to copy any information from my tree until I get it correct. All the information that I have collect has come from Ancestry from World trees and I truly believe that the information is not correct. I also got my information from a book that was published by Marvin McKim and I am not sure if his information is correct. I will update everyone on this forum of my progress.
