The obituary for the person that I am nearly 100% certain is the person whose family I am looking for states as follows:

"Jeffries McKim 'Kim' Johnson Jr.
"JOHNSON, Jeffries McKim, Jr. 'Kim' Passed away on May 29, 2004, at age 60. Survived by his brother and best friend, Todd; his loving niece, Heather; and many, many friends in Sacramento. Cheers to you, Kim. Friends will gather at 6:oo PM on Tuesday, June 15. Contact Todd for more information at (916) 927-7405. In lieu of flowers remembrances to Easter Seal foundation, Denver, Colorado, Post Polio Survivors."

Published in the Sacramento Bee on June 13, 2004. The phone number is no longer relevant. I tried calling it and also called the only Todd Johnson listed in Sacramento and left a message. I haven't talked to those people, but I don't think they are the right ones, or even if Todd's last name is Johnson. Unfortunately, no one signed the Bee's on-line guest book for him. I was really hoping for a lead there.

Kim was born on January 17, 1944, probably in Washington, but I'm not sure. I received the Bible as a Valentine gift in 1964. I became engaged later that year, married, and moved, with no ready means of contacting Kim to return the Bible.

The only other notation in the Bible aside from Kim's to me and the one already posted is a little note in the back that says "Aggie McKim's Book."

Thank you for any leads you might have.
Janet Armstrong
