Hi, I must inform everyone that is and has been doing research on the McKim's from Loudoun County that I have found much information that proves where these McKims lived, who they married and where they were or were not born. I have read many postings on this forum and have seen so much incorrect information. See below information provided for everyone.

Alexander McKim b: abt 1720 Londonderry Ireland d: 1804-1805 Loudoun County, Virginia (Sourced: Last Will and Testament) married Jeanette ? (people say her last name was McMahon I have not found any proof or documents to prove her last name was McMahon or even her mother was McMorry or Jeanette even had a brother or sister as someone stated on this site Jeanette had a brother that is incorrect information) Jeanette was b: abt 1729 ? possibly Delaware d: Dec 1817 Richmond, Virginia (sourced: Deed of Emancipation (her son Robert set free her faithful Sam at the request of his mother before her death I have the document)now from my research I have found said children to be the children of Alexander and Jeanette as follows:

John McKim b: 1749 possibly Delaware (not Loudoun) d: 1810 Richmond, Virginia (Source: Deeds and widow Dower-he left land to his only son Francis McKim who lived in Bourbon Ky in 1810 also his wife applied for a Widow's dower. Documents in my possession)

(I am not going to provide information on this site for all the other children if you want it you can contact me but I am going to list one more child of Alexanders's and I want everyone to pay attention to this.)

3rd child James McKim b: 1754 possibly Delaware (not Loudoun County Virginia (THIS IS PROVEN HE WAS NOT BORN IN VA) d: 1820 Leesburg, Loudoun County Va (Source: Probate Records died intestate) now said James married Ruhamah Heath 25 March 1800 Loudoun County Va (Source: Marriage Document in my possession) she was born abt 1775 Loudoun County and d: 1851 Front Royal, Warren County, Va. They had one son and only one son no more and no less. They had no daughters only one child and that was William H McKim b: abt 1801 Loudoun County d: 1822 Loudoun County Virginia (Source: Last Will and Testament of William H McKim leaves his entire estate to his mother Ruhamah McKim) (upon the decease of Ruhamah McKim Elisha McKim and Gambriel W McKim from Bourbon Ky filed a Chancery Suit in Loudoun County abt 1858 to have the Will of William H McKim declared invalid and to fight for the land that originally belonged to Alexander that was given to James and then given to William H McKim. As they wanted the land well I have the Chancery Suit which clearly states WILLIAM H MCKIM WAS THE ONLY SON AND HEIR OF SAID JAMES MCKIM AND RUHAMAH HEATH MCKIM. Wel the McKims from Ky did not go through with the Chancery Suit to get the land as they never posted bond to go forward so the land remained the ownership to Ruhamah Heath McKim. The land ended up to the Heath family. So far I have traced this land from Aug 1777 when Alexander moved to Loudoun County and purchased 334 acres of land on Elk Licking Run also know as White Chimney Farm. So far I have the deeds up to 1930's I am still tracing who owns this land as of this date 2009. I can not stress enough to tell eveyone that this James mentioned above did not marry Martha Patty Wright (yes she did marry a James McKim he was born abt 1784 unknown state at this time)this James that married Martha Patty Wright yes did have a son named Burr Washington McKim but I MUST TELL YOU BURR WASHINGTON MCKIM IS NOT THE GRANDSON OF ALEXANDER AND JEANETTE MCKIM (I have sourced documents to prove both James McKim marriages_I have the Chancery Suit that proves who was the son of James McKim (1754-1820)I have the proof that shows said James McKim (1784-aft1850) was no relation to the James McKim (1754) that lived in Loudoun County or his brothers and sisters that lived in Richmond Virginia. If you really want the correct information then you need to start asking someone that has the sourced documents to prove what they say. Oh after the decease of Martha Patty Wright James married a Widow by the name of Margaret Campbell. He had children with both Martha and Margaret. My email address is cgutermuth@yahoo.com. If you want correct info please email me for it. Carolyn
