It was wonderful to discover someone interested in the McMitchell name. I have been doing a geneology search both in Scotland and in Northern Ireland. I myself originated from Armagh City, Co Armagh, Northern Ireland. But presently I live in a small town on the outskirts of Edinburgh, Scotland. I would welcome any information you have on the McMitchell Family as my research has shown that there was McMitchell families possibly related in both Scotland and Northern Ireland at the time at the time and the dates you have given. My research also has shown the McMitchell name as I have spelt it dating back to 1687. Looking forward to your 'E' mail regarding the above, and may be we can exchange information.
