Hello,
I do not have a clear link to the McMitchell name, what I have is fanily stories that say we are of Scot/Irish decent with a stop-over in Britian. I have only been able to get back to 1805. I suspect my family had been in this country for awhile as my gggrandfathers' name was George Washington Mitchell, b. 1805 in North Carolina, d. 1870 in Virginia. If this should tie in with anything you have please contact me. Thank You Sara
