Chris and James, I'm researching the same Jordon/McNatt family. My grand-mother, Elsie Mae McNatt, was a daughter of John and Sarah. My late grand-mother talked a lot about Sarah Elizabeth "Jordon", her mother. She thought Sarah could have been adopted by "Mel" Jordon and that he was from Keister, Pa., which is near Dunbar, where grand-ma grew up. I could never find any proof of that. But, Sarah's death certificate reads: "Death of Sarah Elizabeth McNatt, born 15 June 1876, Fayette county. She died November 1, 1943, "rural Mt. Braddock", Pa. Parents names were listed as Henry Cole and Mary Elizabeth Cummings. (Note: see 1910 census; Henry Cole neighbor). Cause of death, Acute Myocarditis." So, the only explanation I could come up with is that maybe Sarah Elizabeth's parents died when she was young and she was adopted by the Jordon family. The following is what I've found in the 1900 and 1910 census: 1900 census, Fayette county, North Union Twp. McNatt, John Head M W Dec 1870 29 M 9 4 2 Pa Pa Pa Day lab.
