I was just told that the surname Meikle, is a German surname. and in this particular case its a Jewish name as well.

Is it always considered a Jewish name, or is it like so many one of those names that you can't determine easily?

In Germany is there a particular area that the name would most likely be found? Where?

Thank you

Barbara
