Searching for information regarding Edward MEIKLE, son of Edward MEIKLE & Agnes DRYSDALE, b. abt. 1843 in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland.
He was residing in Dunfermline with his parents when the 1851 Census was taken, listed as age 8, b. Dunfermline. He was residing in Glasgow with his parents when the 1861 Census was taken, listed as age 18, occupation Clerk, b. Dunfermline.
The last record I have that mentions him is the marriage record for his brother James in 1862 which lists "Edward Meikle Jr." as a witness for the marriage.
No marriage for him in Scotland between 1861 and 1875. No death record for him in Scotland between 1862 and 1889. Not in Scotland 1871 or 1881 Census records. Where did he go?
