Most of my ancesters, on this side of the family, come from Canada and Maine.
Since I don't have any information, much, about the Merrits, I will assume that they come from the New England states, or Canada, as well.
The only information I have, is as follows;
Mary Merrit married Alanson Lewis. Sorry, no dates or places for either person. They, at least, had a son named Felix Lewis. Felix was born about 1775 in the USA, and married Elizabeth Trites. Elizabeth was born about 1780.
I know this isn't much to go on, but I'm hoping someone will reconize the names, and connections, and can help me add to this lineage.
