Lansing, MI--A memorial is being planned to honor Daniel Stafford Mevis, a civil war veteran, and his daughter, Gertrude Mevis Whitter, who was a charter member of the local Daughters of Civil War Veterans in Lansing. Please contact me with any information, photos etc. that you might like to share or if you are interested in participating. Also, any information about Daniel's parents, Polly Stafford Mevis and Oliver Hiram Mevis would be appreciated.
