Hi, folks.
I'm tracing the Michael family in Oconee and Walton County, Georgia, and I keep coming across links to a Valentine Michael, a Hugenot from Brittany, France that was supposedly the first ancestor in that line to immigrate to the United States.
He would have arrived sometime in the mid- to late 1700s and might have come through Charleston, South Carolina along with his son Guillahume (William) and his wife, Marie Motier.
