The line for Casper Michael through his son Jared of Linn Co. Oregon was verified by DAR genealogists on 5 May 2008.
Casper Michael, aka Casper Mike, served in the Pennsylvania Militia during the Revolution. His son Jared, who married Mary Kelso and pioneered in Linn Co. Oregon, has been proved to him. Any woman who can prove she is descended from either Jared Michael or Casper Michael is now eligible for DAR membership.
