I know this is a long shot but I've hit a brick wall and am hoping someone can toss me in the right direction. I'm researching the Michaels (also spelled Micheals or Micheal) family that is generally located around the Greene County Illinois (WhiteHall or Greenfield) area.
I've been able to trace back to a John Micheals that was born in 1852. He married a Sarah Ellen Anderson (daughter of Thomas and Mary Anderson). My great great grandfather was one of their children. However, not a soul seems to know who John's mother and father are. I've looked up virtually everyone's death certificate, marriage, etc to try and find the names of their parents but with no luck.
If anyone could help me I would appriciate it. The only information I have is that John Micheals father was born in Illinois and that his mother was born in Ohio or Indiana.
I would appriciate anyone who might have some information or at the very least another possible source I can get some information on.
