My father was Garth Michaels (although born Cleveland), son of Cleveland Horace Algernon Michaels and Gwendoline Fisher of Raetown (Kingston), Jamaica. His father had 2 brothers, Denzil and Vivian (although Vivian may have been a cousin). Also had 2 sisters (or again, they may have been cousins): Beryl (Bourke, m.) and Bertha (Nash, m.) also known as Trixie. My father had a sister, Marguerite and a brother Billy, who was born Wernhard. There's also a Marie and an Edna thrown in there somewhere, would like to find out their relationship, if possible. David Michaels, my father's grandfather, emigrated from England. I believe he married a Jamaican woman, would like to find out her identity. Her name might have been Mary or Marie. (Cleveland H.A. is listed in US Immigration records as British-African Black). Gwendoline Fisher had a sister Violet. My father lived on Fisher's Row in Raetown. Everyone seemed to have converted to Catholicism, but David was Jewish originally. Would love to find out if Gwendoline Fisher's family was also Jewish or Protestant originally.
