Michell family, New Orleans, late 1800's

My Greatgrandfather was Henry Michell, who lost an arm in the Civil War at the battle of Richmond. He was a Captain in the Louisiana militia, residing in New Orleans.

He married Pauline DeVillier (of Baracoa, Cuba)in Butler County, Alabama. I am looking for Pauline's background, and Henry's background also. He came originally from the Alsace region of France/Germany

Any help would be appreciated
