I don't know if my info helps or if there is a connection. But... My GGGGG grandfather was William Michell, b. 1760 in Redruth, Cornwall England. m. Jane Harpur 11/7/1787. They had 4 son's William Michell, B. 12/14/1788, m. Martha Williams. Then william Michell was christened on 9/23/1810; Andrew Harpur Michell b. 3/5/1791 d. 6/13/1818; Ralph Michell b. 1/3/1793 d. 4/3/1883 m. Elizabeth Bennetts; Tobias Harpur Michell b. 7/25/1795 m. 11/10/1819 Catherine Read Edwards b. 2/1/1798 in Calcutta India d. 2/5/1867 Tobias came to america in 1831. I'd love to share info and find possible connection.
