I am searching for information on any Mickels living in the Florence or Bishopville area of South Carolina. My great grandparents are Lizzie Boyd Mickel and Washington Mickel. I have been advised the original spelling of surname was O'Mickel and changed due to circumstances in SC when earlier relatives settled. Any information would be helpful.
