I was so excited to see your post. I think Catherine M. Mickel m. to Jacob Ostrander may be the parents of George J. Ostrander, born August 1853 in Cobleskill, Schoharie Co. N.Y., who I am researching. If this is the case,George married Helen Smith abt 1878 and had seven children. In 1880, I have him farming in Richmondville, NY. (Scholarie Co.)They then moved to Atlantic County New Jersey by 1900.
Does this fit with your information? If so, I can give more information on the children of George Ostrander. That's as far as I have, as I think Catherine and Jacob are George's parents, but I have no proof. Best regards, Mary Corcoran
