Hi. The John W. Mickle mentioned in your post as a son of Thomas F. Mickle is of interest to us.
We are working on a Civil War veterans monument here in northeast Tarrant County, Texas. JWM was one of our veterans. If you don't mind, I'd like you to take a look at the bio we're doing on him before we post it.
He died here in Fort Worth, Texas in 1919. By the end of the day tomorrow I'll have looked at his pension app, his obituary, and a little writeup done on him here in Texas by a lady who collected Civil War reminiscences from the vets themselves.
