you are searching for General Ormsby McKnight Mitchel Born in 1805 Morganfield,Union county,Kentucky die din 1862 port royal,south carolina from yellow fever was the founder of a Observitory in Cincinatti,Ohio or are you looking for his son who was also Ormsby Mcknight Mitchel who married Heloise Piquette his son died really young and she remarried to James Hoban I'm still trying to find the father of Ormsby Mcknight Mitchell,Sr. my family has always said we had some connection to this Mitchel/Mitchell family but its been really hard to try and figure out Isreal Mitchell wrote a letter stating that Ormsby Mcknight was the grandson of David mitchell who was the brother or uncle to my great,great,great,great grandfather Moses Mitchell if you happen to know the father of ormsby mcknight mitchel,sr I would be very interested in hearing your news you can reach me at
