His father was named Henry on the 1850 Houston Co Tx census states Henry was born abt 1804 NC and his wife was named Eliza b abt 1822 SC (Later census say she was born in GA)
I am seeking anyone who might know this family or anything about them
Joel had siblings named Eliza J b abt 1847 HOuston Co TX
Sarah b abt 1849 HOuston Co TX
This family may have been Mitchum instead and if so then Eliza the wife of Henry might have been Eliza Crawford.
Joel was found in the 1880 Shelby Co TX census listed as Joel Mitchel with a wife named only initials M A born abt 1861 Ark
This is all I have found so far.
