I just found today that Mary Eula Payton b 1886 married Joseph Oscar Mitchell - no info on Joseph at all. Mary was the dau of William Edward Payton and Lucinda Palestine Huckabee (also just found that info today).
William E. Payton is the son of Henry Payton and Elminee E. Tucker Payton. Henry and Elminee were married in Elbert Co., Ga., moving from there to Alabama and then on to Arkansas. I found them in the 1860 Census of Bradley Co., Ark. and have found nothing about them since that census until finding the info today about William
Any info that you can share concerning the Payton-Mitchell family would be most appreciated. If desired, I will share the information on William Payton's families.
