I am searching for any info on Franklin Mitchell and Eliza A. Mitchell by their Death Certificates they were both born in Athensville Illinois early 1800's (I cant find the documents at the moment) but they had a daughter Mary Martha Mitchell b. 1859 who married William Thompson in Roodhouse The Death Certificates also said they were buried in Fernwood cemetery and i visited there and couldnt find a stone for either and they said they didnt have records? so anyway either Franklin or Eliza were Indian because my grandmother once told me her great great grandfather was an indian Chief and im pretty sure she said Cherokee but i wasnt researching back then and don't know which side, i also have a picture of Mary Martha and her son which look very much Indian any help would be appreciated
