I am looking for info on Thoams Misell b. 1810 in TN. He was married to Mary T. (Smith?) Browning Mizell in La. This was his second marriage I believe. His first marriage was to Luisa J. Presson. He and Mary had a daughter named Mary Ann Mizell Jean and a son named Hardy T. Misell. Hardy was blind and was the father of Ovie Misell who was the father of my dad and uncle. My dad's birth name was Melvin N. Misell, but he grew up as Melvin N. Patton. This was his stepdad's surname. There was never a formal adoption, they just started using Patton. In some of the records I have found the last last name is spelled as Mysell and Myzell and Mysel. etc. etc. Any help would be appreciated.
