George Washington DRAKE was born 10 Dec. 1883 in Mexico, Audrain Co., MO.
He was oldest son to Thomas M. Drake and his third wife, Rufina FOLSOM. They were married somewhere about 1882, I assume.
Their next child was born 15 Jan. 1886 in IT, the area that later became Pittsburg Co., OK.
Rufina was Choctaw/Cherokee and the daughter of Judge Rufus Folsom of the Choctaw Nation, 5 Civilized Tribes, Indian Territory. (Later Oklahoma) (Sometimes I think it may have been an elopement.)
Records are scarce for IT so I hope someone knows of marriage records/birth records for this brief period between 1881 and 1886.
