Attempting to find descendants of Joshua W. Bibb (b. 1816, Virginia) and Elizabeth Brattin/Bratton (b. 1817, Tennessee) who migrated from Franklin County, TN, to southwest Missouri (Barry and Newton counties) in about 1839. Have no information on eldest daughter, Nancy (b. 1835). Daughter Susan/Susannah (b. 1837) married William V. Morgan in Barry County in 1859. Susannah and William Morgan later returned to his home in Morgantown, Monongolia, West Virginia. They had at least three children, Emma L. (b. 1860), William H. (b. 1862), and Elizabeth M. (b. 1868). Of the four sons of Joshua Bibb and Elizabeth Bratton (James M. (b. 1840), John (b. 1843), Robert (b. 1846), and Samuel D. (b. 1848)), only Robert appears to have remained in Barry County. He married Mary Stephens in about 1881. They had no children. Robert and Mary Bibb are shown in Exeter, Barry County through the 1930 census. It appears that the Delcenia Bibb family listed in the 1880 census in Elm Springs, Washington County, Arkansas, are descendants of the Joshua and Elizabeth Bibb: Delcenia O. Bibb, widowed, age 24, birthplace Arkansas Robert C. Bibb, son, age 5, birthplace Arkansas -- father's birthplace Missouri Ethel D. Bibb, daughter, age 4, birthplace Arkansas John M. Bibb, son, age 2, birthplace Arkansas Charles G. Bibb, son age 1, birthplace Arkansas William H. Morgan, nephew, age 20, birthplace Missouri It appears that Delcenia married one of Joshua Bibb's sons -- but which one? William H. Morgan is the son of Susannah Bibb and William Morgan. Susannah would have been Delcenia's sister-in-law. At least two of Delcenia’s sons returned to Barry County. Barry County, Missouri, Records show that Robert C. Bibb, age 22, married Cora F. Armstrong, age 19, Feb. 14, 1897. The Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter has the grave of Robert Bibb, 1875-1900. The 1900 census for Exeter, Barry County, shows his widow working as a dressmaker and living with her sister and brother-in-law, Leroy and Lucy Leith. John M. Bibb lived with his aunt and uncle, Robert and Mary Bibb in Exeter, Barry County, Missouri, in the 1900 census. The Dec. 10, 1904, Cassville Democrat listed the marriage license for John M.
