I am looking for additional information on descendents of William Allen of Barton County, Missouri. I know that he married Harriett Harmon in 1856, had 3 children, Ida, Thomas, and Edith Allen. Then Harriett died in 1862, and he married her sister, Mary Harmon in 1863 and had Mabel, Fannie, James, and Harriett "Hal". I know Mabel married W. F. McIlvain of Carlsbad, NM. Harriett married a dentist with the last name of Mize. They had a girl named Mary Mize in 1900. Harriett died when Mary Mize was 3 years old. Mary was sent to live with her mother's two sisters in Carlsbad New Mexico, one was Mabel and the other may have been Fannie? Mabel had a daughter named Helen. Mary had a daughter named Barbara. Barbara was my grandmother.
Edith Allen married Tom Harkless and they had 3 children, Mabel, Kate, Hazel. Tom Harkless was elected Mayor of Lamar. I think that Fannie married Henry Tipton.
