Hi Allan,
If I got this straight, this could be how Huskey's are related to Belew's.
My grandfather, John Larken Belew, married Mary Jane Calahan. I believe the sister (Nancy Williams) of Mary Jane's mother (Catherine Williams) married James Huskey.
So James Huskey would have been Mary Jane Calahan Belew's brother in law.
Like you, I believe there is a relation between the two families. It seems I heard the "Huskey" name a lot. If we keep searching, we'll probably find a closer relationship.
