Will Jennings was the uncle of Wilson Howard. I did find an account stating that the McMichaels fellow and Will Jennings had robbed someone and that later McMicheals was to be a witness against him so it's very likely that was the reason he was killed. Wilson never confessed to the killing of McMichaels but he did confess to killing my John Bailey. The old newspaper articles are in such conflict on this -- seems it depends on which side you were sympathic to, the Howards are the Turners. I have also been following up on later stories - some saying the feud continued for several more years after this hanging of McMicheals. At least I have the name of Thomas to work with now.
