Hi, I am looking for a marriage record of Douglas L Vincent married to Laura N. Nicholas on Dec. 13, 1900. She was from Thomasville, MO. He at that time was listed from the family Bible as being from Izard County, Calico Rock, Arkansas. The Bible says they were married in Thomasville by William D. Weaver.
I am also looking for Laura's parents. She was of Cherokee descent so I am having a tough time finding records. Her parents were supposedly Margaret Collins and Simeon Nicholas. Laura was born Feb. 27, 1879 in Verona, MO. She had a brother named John Nicholas. Laura's Collins grandparents were Simeon Collins married to a Nancy....I have no dates I can locate. I know they lived near Piney, or in Shannon or Carter, or Oregon Counties in Missouri. Any help would be appreciated.
