Searching for any information on one David H. Goodman (1807-VA), blacksmith by profession, and his wife Rebecca N. (English) Goodman (1811-KY) who are found in Buffalo twp on the 1860 US Census. This couple is also found in 1850 across the Mississippi in Greene County Illinois, p 116(b) Married 1843 in Greene, IL. Combined children in 1850 are: Andrew J. Goodman (1835-VA)(also blacksmith) Nancy Elizabeth Brown (1837-IL) Thomas J. Goodman (1838-IL) Mary Brown (1839-IL) Foster A. Brown (1842-IL) Sarah A. Goodman (1846-IL) Amelia M. Goodman (1848-IL) Foster A. Brown married Minerva Combs in Franklin County, IL in 1858 and is found in Franklin County for two censuses. Nancy E. Brown married David D. Burleson in August 1867, Greene County, IL. Found on 1880 census for Greene Co. Evidence that the three sons served in the Union forces during the CW, but nothing is found after the war other than the one census for Foster Brown in 1870 Franklin County. I am looking for any evidence or records for this family or any individual of the family. Cannot find any graves for them so far in Pike County. If any of these names are familiar, please contact me.
